Our February Ignite saw over 260 people come together to celebrate what God is doing in our lives and it was great to see more new faces coming along for the first time! Worship was brought to us by the incredible Ignite band and each month we are blown away by the talent of these young people!
Luke Andrews brought us a great message about undeserved gifts, and talked about how we all love free stuff; we jump straight to the front of the queue if we think there’s something free in it for us! But what about the gift of grace that is given to us by God? Strangely we’re not as fast to step forward and receive it, and yet it’s more important than any other freebie we can get our hands on. The truth is, this is a gift that we don’t have to work for, it’s a gift that sets us free; we’ve been saved by grace, not good deeds.
“If we can grasp the gift and understand where it’s coming from then things will start to change.”
Here’s what some of the young people said about the February Ignite...
“The worship was really inspiring and encouraging and it was good to be able to let go and put God first.”
“Inspiring, amazing and challenging (in a good way!)”
“I now understand that I don’t need to earn God’s favour, I just need to accept his gift.”
We are so excited for what’s to come over these next few months at Ignite and we would love you to get involved. Last night we announced that we will be holding our second Ignite:Mission Day later this year, so if you are a young person interested in mission or a local youth leader then WATCH THIS SPACE!
